Just when we thought that we'd waved goodbye to the dreamy world of couture shows for until next time, Dolce and Gabbana hit us with their very first ever couture offering. The designers, no longer content to wow audiences with biannual mainline fashion shows, have laboured on a new, ultra-lavish couture collection for months. Gasp! And with a whopping 73-outfit collection there were 73 immaculately made up models that needed to be thrown into the mix too, some wearing earrings so heavy they had to be hooked over the entire ear to avoid ripping pierced holes. Cripes. And then what with no less than four individuals fainting due to the heat, it was altogether a somewhat heady experience to say the least.

Barbie goes High Fashion

The most glamorous line of Barbie dolls available, The Fashion Model Collection celebrates Barbie's heritage and style from the golden era of Hollywood to modern day Paris. For the 2012 Collection's "Atelier" theme, designer Robert Best was inspired by the great fashion workshops in Europe. The collection captures the essence of high fashion with intricately crafted and beautifully tailored clothing, richly designed jewelry and highly detailed accessories
